Common question
What does a Clinical Psychologist do?

Clinical Psychologists are trained to understand why problems develop and to make sense of emotional difficulties so that a treatment package can be designed to meet an individual’s needs.

Child psychologists are trained in understanding the developmental stage that a young person is at and adapting any evidence based treatment to take into account the age of the child and their stage of emotional ( feelings and maturity) and cognitive development (how they see the world and think about things).

Psychological therapies have good evidence and are often the first line of intervention recommended for a range of disorders.
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • Conduct/Behavior
